Glaskolben may be blown freehand into a ball using a Hot Head torch (item 7329) and MAPP gas, eliminating the time consuming method of pulling points from glass tubes. Roll hot cylinder into frit before blowing to decorate. Pull into an elongated shape with tweezers. Sealed end clear cylinders measure 1mm wall, 28mm diameter before blowing. Flashed glass is excellent for sandblasting and engraving. Using flashed glass allows you to create pieces with depth. It features a bright, solid color to work with in combination with a secondary base color to enhance the detail of the design. See the basic steps below to discover how easy it is. 1. Apply resist to glass. Transfer design to resist, cut along lines using a stencil knife. Peel away the cut pieces where the glass will be frosted. 2. Place glass inside sandblast cabinet. Please note It is important to follow all safety instructions from the manufacturer. Blast by moving the nozzle back and forth evenly, starting at the top of the design and moving downward. 3. Remove remaining resist, clean the glass and display. Lamberts Special order glass is available in SHEET SIZE ONLY. For UPS delivery the sheet will be cut as two pieces, approximately 18 x 24 each.
